Top Ten mini laptops

Our top ten mini laptops in May 2009. Once again, we have captured dozens of our own and other peoples opinions trawls and tried the models and our conclusions. We have our results on practicality, functionality, cost and looks.

This month has seen the departure of several models from our top-ten rankings mini-laptops, such as newer models come out. These include:

Dell Inspiron Mini 9

The original Dell Netbook was a small and compactcompromised netbook, lack of function keys and with limited battery life, color selection and storage, and so has our top-ten rankings mini laptops leave this month. But the new, larger Inspiron Mini 10 solves some of these problems. We have yet to write, but at first glance they appear to be problems others have sorted out the keyboard that way, is quite large and few.

The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 is still very good value on a Vodafone contract, however, of around £ 20per month. Let us consider separately the separation of the bundle and buying a Inspiron Mini 9 and USB modem contract and you would only be about 30 pounds more in total. Definitely worth a look ...

Asus Eee PC 1000

Asus Eee PC took the 1000 MSI brought to the first 10-inch netbook, the MSI Wind. With her brother, the Eee PC 901, they now led a number of new features for the successful Eee PC range including the large 6-cell battery as standard and the industryStandard Intel Atom N270 processor at 1.6 GHz.

But as larger brands have been assembled there Netbook offerings, the great Netbook Asus has pushed down the table. Asus has the model updated Bringing Out the Asus Eee PC 1000H, Eee PC1002HA and beautiful version - the Eee PC S101.

MSI Wind

The MSI Wind has, although some, our ranking for two simple reasons to leave. First, there are now more brands with better products like the Samsung NC10. Secondly, even if youwanted to buy an MSI Wind would be wasting your money buying one. Why? Since you can buy an Advent 4211 instead! It is the same computer, with different logos, but about £ 50 cheaper, depending on where you buy. Even then, you'd get lost. The new LG X110 is in fact not that new - it is a revamped version of the MSI Wind, which looks very attractive. It is also embedded with 3G.

So here we come to the top ten rankings mini laptops ... starting atbelow:

# 10 - Asus Eee PC 701

The first netbook from Asus presented at the Computex Taipei 2007, which went off the whole industry trend, once again back in our ranking. Yes, it is not as powerful as newer models, so it has a smaller screen and yes it does cost up to half of the price for the newer models. True to its netbook routes, it is still one of the smallest, lightest and cheapest netbook.

If you would consider a budget mini laptop(Fair enough, during the tough economic times!) Is there some unbranded models. But it is always worth brand products, especially with computers because you can take advantage of after-sales support network. For what it is, is the Asus Eee PC 701 still a bargain!

# 9 - Asus Eee PC S101

While we previously classified this netbook already quite high, Cnet yet it is one very much of their# 3, but are under his delicious skin, there is not much, especially for the price they are asking - £ 449. On closer inspection, there is a derated battery - 4 cell instead of 6 as brothers or inoperable non-integrated 3G option as the Eee PC 901 About twice as expensive as SPEC, more powerful models, it is difficult to justify a higher ranking more.

# 8 - Toshiba NB100

ToshibaMini-laptop has climbed the rankings with an incredible price cuts. The editor has noted, Amazon.co.uk shaved 50 pounds from the RRP £ 299, with laptop Direct cut a further £ 50 in April in a liquidation sale. The computer is not as good as some competitors like the Asus Eee PC 901, but the processing is very solid look and the brand holds a lot in his name, so we buy them a safe.

Toshiba has also presented plans for a larger 10-inch models boast 160 GB of memory and 3G embedded. See New mini laptop

# 7 - LG X110

This beautiful new laptop is infact based on the groundbreaking 10-inch laptop, the MSI Wind. The corners were rounded out to give quite an attractive housing, and the price is not too bad. The addition of integrated 3G connectivity allows, wherever you can get cell phone signal or not, to competing models such as the> HP Compaq Mini 700 and Samsung NC10.

Total: 3 stars - previous ranking ninth February: New ranking in this month Top Ten mini laptops, but the MSI Wind Hit # 9

# 6 - Acer Aspire One

The Acer Aspire One family is among the new 10-inch Netbooks D150. We have decided to merge the two for the sake of rankings. The price range for the new model is similarly good value to his little brother, much cheaper than the £ 300 odd you would expect to pay for theRecent Netbook.

Despite the addition to the range, the Acer has slipped slightly in the rankings as newer and better models give you the top ten rankings mini laptops.

# 5 - Asus Eee PC 901

The Asus Eee PC 901 is a really complete Netbook. It replaces Asus' previous nine-inch models of the Eee PC 900 series to introduce 6-cell battery and Intel Atom processor as standard. Now in agreement withOrange in a variety of colors, the possibilities are endless. We regard it as the best 9-inch portable mini laptop.

As of this writing, the Asus Eee PC for around £ 25 per month for months Orange Pay Mobile Broadband.

# 4 - Asus Eee PC 1002HA

The upper end of the Asus Eee PC series is in the form of the Eee PC 1002HA. Complete with a newly designed chassis, with inspiration from the seductive slim Eee takenPC S101 and the insides of the Eee PC 1000H. Unfortunately, they have a breath away from hair, somewhat surprising that it is not the 6-cell battery as standard as the previous Eee PC models have stopped 901 / 1000. Nevertheless, it hit the # 4 in our top ten rankings mini laptops - a new record.

# 3 - Samsung NC10

Samsung's low-key entry into the netbook world with overwhelming sales success has been met.The keyboard, by hand, so the letter keys larger and the number keys to enter smaller help with almost a game for a HP netbook. Recently, O2, together with Samsung to offer to a number of laptops to mobile broadband contract and the NC10. O2 has implemented one of the better networks, with the only supplier of the infamous Apple iPhone in the UK. In addition to providing an excellent network, they also offer free home broadband for mobile broadbandCustomers.

become Samsung's confidence in netbooks is overwhelming, now with the larger Samsung NC20 available and presented to other models, and is waiting in the pipeline. See mini-laptops and notebooks.com and click on 'New Mini Laptop "for details including pictures!

# 2 - HP Compaq Mini 700

Not shift from last months top ten mini laptops is the HP Compaq Mini 700, netbooking offers the best keyboard in the world. You might think it obviousstretch it to the edge woudn't you, but do a few mini-laptops. Although it did not make the trackpad a bit on the SLIM page, it is a much better surface than other competing models. Hold it up high in the rankings is the price has dropped significantly in the last few months to around EUR 250 to 260, far less than the Samsung NC10.

The HP Compaq Mini 700 is on mobile broadband contract with Orange and 3, although in all we do not find it so goodValue on the contract as the provider of any other offer. For example on Orange you pay an extra fiver for the Compaq on the Asus Eee PC 901 for the same service - so that there is an extra £ 120 would be over the term of the contract cost.
